There are formed structured communities of practice, which will connect experts in several fields from  the civil society, partners and business representatives from across Europe, in order to find and evaluate for future funding, innovative solutions to fight against coronavirus and its effects. There are different kind of areas proposed that aim  to transfer  knowledge and generate innovative solutions that can be implemented throughout the European single market.

“This hackathon is a civil society hackathon. Anyone can participate.  There are no special technical knowledge required. If someone wants to help fight the coronavirus, that person should register. They can register as individuals or as a team. If the person registers as an individual, he can join a team, through the tools we provide, ”said Isidro Laso Ballesteros, Deputy Director of DG Research and Innovation.

“So far there are hundreds of registered participants and anyone can do it. Actions like Hackatons aim to accelerate the identification and faster introduction of new products and services on the market, and this event, proposed above is large-scale event. Following the participation in this event, we will connect to the communities of practice that are formed and in the areas where we have expertise we will engage teachers, students, start-ups, clusters, digitization centers, technology transfer centres and other structures from USH Pro Business innovative ecosystem, to continue the actions that are initiated ”declared Assoc.
